Slavica Caca Kovacev comes from an artistic background. In her home country of Serbia she studied violin from early childhood, and 15 years ago had her own business - designing and producing ceramic lamp bases, the other unique artistic products and lamp shades. Immigrating to Australia in 2006 she was inspired by the Australian landscape to such an extent that she took up painting as a passion, which has been shown recently in her two Exhibitions in Brisbane.

This Exhibitions represented a myriad of beautiful colors combinations, depth and design that are derived from different subjects, one can be immersed in the detail and delicate movements of color as it comes alive on the canvas, reflecting various landscapes, portraits and religious elements.

Her emotions are very strong and are triggered by this country , they erupt almost like a volcano. The love, longing, reverence, and joy that Slavica expresses in her artwork is inspiring. Her positive approach to life infuses her art, particularly the vibrant Australian landscapes. She said“ There is positive energy in the Australia atmosphere and in me”…

Responding to Slavica’s joy, an art lover who had the pleasure of attending the opening night of her Exhibition commented “You are the first happy artist I have met”. In the interview for the Radio Redcliff, when she was talking about opening night of the exhibition in Graydon Gallery, she said “ It will be the biggest party in my this life“….
